  Back in Nag's Head!

This year, Hurricane Ophelia limited my availabe shooting, and I only got out two days, but I got some great shots, including the bridge at Oregon Inlet.

About the NEW Rig...

I took the 2004 rig to Hawaii last Christmas, and dropped it in a tide pool. Yep, I hiked three miles from the end of the road, set everything up and dunked the whole rig on the first flight. The camera never worked again and the rig's motor coroded up and also stopped working.

Building the new rig, I've dispensed with mechanical triggering altogether. I opened up a new AIPTek cam and did a little soldering. A small circuit board is the sole external part in the new scheme. No batteries, no motor, no gears, making it very light.
