Three Corners Hike

Thursday (12/16/04), Dan Harmon and I took a hike in the back of the Makaha Valley. Dan is one of my parent's neighbors and a member of the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club.

It was a very pleasant hike, followed by a very strenuous hike, followed by mountain climbing. Dan is a very nice guy, but he's out of his freakin' mind :) (the climbing part was a little scary). Our goal was "Three Corners", where three valleys (Makua, Makaha, and Mokule'ia) meet. I had to stop for lunch about 100 vertical feet (and I do mean vertical) from the top,\ but Dan made it the whole way.

I had a great time. It was challenging and rewarding. Here are a few of the many beautiful sights we saw along the way (and one picture of Dan :>).
